WEBflow DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

I use Webflow for website development which suits the client best. Webflow is a powerful, web-based design tool that gives us the superpower to design, build and launch responsive websites with clean code and fun interactions. For more advanced website features, I make custom code solutions combining the functionality of Webflow with JavaScript allowing us to build almost anything directly in Webflow.

BRAND IDENTITY DESIGN

I collaborate closely with you to shape a meaningful brand experience for your new business. My expertise spans the entire spectrum of brand research and design, resulting in the creation of a visually captivating, timeless logo.

My design process.

In process I trust

The goal of my work process using agile methodology is to understand your users and discover their needs, frustration and goals, and know more about you as business. Then I will be able to design a consistent messaging strategy and conversion driven design for your website/app.

Discover

The first of the design process steps involves starting with a creative brief. This stage sets the tone for the entire project–and it’s one of the most important that will lead to the ideation phase when crafting a design. A creative brief is a project breakdown to understand the scope and all that’s needed to help get started. First, I lay the information out on a document and include all relevant details to get everybody on the same page.

Research & Brainstorm

Depending on the project’s scope, I always try to include as much useful information as possible in mycreative brief. This will help minimise the time spent during the research phase. However, it’s still critically important for design teams to go through the research phase—since this will provide a better understanding of the audience during the creative process.
Before jumping into the project, I work by self or with the design team to brainstorm ideas for the presentation. Brainstorming is one of the design process steps that allow for creative exploration and minimises frustration.

Design

Now that the research and the brainstorming design process steps are complete, it’s time to start working on the design. I always like to start with scratching my ideas and then I move to wireframes if I'm working on a website or app design based on the previous steps I drive my design.

Launch & Test

Now that the design is complete, I submit t for getting feedback which is one of the most important steps in structuring it. Additionally, the input will allow me to speed up the process.
After the final amends are made, I go through the launch checklist, hit "publish" and ta-da! Your site is live! and now it is time to collect the data after testing the product live in order to work on any further edits.

Creating elements and structure

First, create a container to house the card elements.

In this case, I have created 'c-cards-list' and 'w-cards-list'. 'c' represent container and 'w' represent wrapper. This is my standard structuring method to prepare the elements for complicated interactions just in case.

Similarly, create 'c-card' and 'w-card' inside the container. Style the 'w-card' element according to your preference and then add in required content.

Making sticky cards

To create a stacking effect, you will required to use the 'position: sticky'.

Apply 'position: sticky' to 'c-card' element and apply at least 1px for the top position.

By now, you should be able to see the cards stacking on top of each other while you scroll down the page.

Create layering effects for stacked cards

Great. Now you have successfully stacking the cards on top of each other. To make them looks better, we will create some layering effect.

Create combo class for each of the 'c-card' element. For example, '1', '2', '3' and etc. Then add some value in the top position. For example, for first card, you can give it 20px from the top to make some spacing. Then for the following cards, you can add 100px each. You can adjust the value based on your design and layout.

Example: First card : 20px ; Second card : 120px ; Third card : 220px ; and so forth...

Enhancing layering effect with interaction

To make the layering looks even much better, you can apply interaction into 'c-card' elements.

Apply 'While scrolling in view' interaction to 'c-card' elements and ensure it affects all same class. Set the smoothing value to 90%.

Insert 'Scale' interaction starts at keyframe 40% (scale value: 1) and end at 100% (scale value: 0.8). Set it to affect 'Interaction Trigger' (c-card).

Now you should be seeing the cards stacking on top of each other with nice layering and depth.
